在反修例風波中，言論出位的立法會議員何君堯先後發表「洋腸論」同「曱甴論」，引起各方批評，其母校英國安格里亞魯斯金大學（Anglia Ruskin University，ARU）表示，由於何君堯的操行引起愈來愈多關注，經調查後，決定褫奪其名譽法學博士學位。
提出讓英聯邦國家給予香港居民第二公民身分的英國上議院議員奧爾敦勳爵(Lord David Alton)，日前去信英國安格里亞魯斯金大學，批評何君堯公然呼籲民眾殺死示威者，做法令人作嘔，又指何君堯鼓吹黑社會使用暴力行為，更發表帶性別及種族歧視含意的言論，又稱呼示威者為「曱甴」，形容其言論可恥，要求校方褫奪何君堯榮譽法學博士的銜頭。
英國安格里亞魯斯金大學回應傳媒時表示，獲榮譽學位的人必須為該校學生、校友、職員、社群樹立正面榜樣，惟何君堯的操守引起愈來愈多關注，經調查後，決定褫奪其名譽博士學位。
何君堯在1984年畢業於英國州瑪高等教育學院，即如今的ARU。
